I am looking to put together a panel for the American Historical Association's 2013 conference in New Orleans. I am seeking panelists for a panel on "Graphic Novels as History?" The theme of for the conference is “Lives, Places, Stories,” the panel will focus on the graphic novel's enhances history, though the "story" it tells

Potential topics may include
• Use of graphic novels in teaching
• Biography's in graphic novel form.
• Histories of science
• Parellels between graphic novel and historical fiction
• Connections between climate change and issues of race, gender and class
• Are graphic novels history or entertainment.
• This is not a complete list, but all ideas will be considered.
