2012 AEEES Panel

I am interested in organizing a 2012 ASEEES panel focusing on the mechanisms/technologies of management and containment of religion in the postwar USSR. The article I am working on takes a closer look at one such mechanism--the Council for the Affairs of Religious Cults, 1944-1991--and specifically on this institution's interaction with Protestant denominations. However, the panel could be as broad as to include the Soviet state's relationship with any religious denomination throughout the postwar period.
