Call For Papers- Edited Volume
“Anticipointment- Why the Star Wars Prequels Failed, and Why it Matters.”
Both critics and die-hard fans were disappointed by the much anticipated Star Wars Prequels of 1999-2005 . Why were these movies such an artistic failure, and does that matter? What are the long-term ramifications, if any, of the failure of the prequels to live up to the standards set by the original trilogy?
While much has already been written on the failings of the films, please do not merely retread matter already covered in existing film reviews. Are there any flaws in the films that you see which have not already been covered elsewhere? More importantly, how do these flaws matter- culturally, socially, even politically?
