The Institute of Caribbean Studies, of the University of Puerto Rico-Rio Piedras, invites the academic community and the general public to the lecture “Griots, soneros y raperos: Encuentros musicales entre el Caribe y África,” by Dr. Errol L. Montes Pizarro, Mathematics Department, UPR-Cayey. Dr. Noel Allende-Goitia, Music Education Graduate Program, Interamerican University, Metro Campus, will comment the lecture. The activity will be held on Thursday, December 1, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. in Amphitheatre Manuel Maldonado Denis (CRA 108) of Carmen Rivera de Alvarado (CRA) Building, Faculty of the Social Sciences, UPR-RP.
