At this year's 23rd annual ALA conference (to be held at the Hyatt Regency in San Francisco, May 24-7), the Philip Roth Society will be sponsoring a panel entitled 'Philip Roth's Influences'. We welcome proposals for papers on any aspects of this topic, for example papers that explore the relationship between writers/artists who have influenced Roth, and/or been influenced by him, and the work of Roth himself. Proposals/abstracts for 15-20 minute papers, not exceeding 300 words, should be titled Roth Society Proposal and emailed by December 30 2011 to the Program Chair, David Brauner, at d.brauner@reading.ac.uk.
Papers presented may be expanded and submitted for publication to Philip Roth Studies. To present a paper as part of a Roth Society panel at the ALA, participants must be members of the Philip Roth Society and register for the conference. For membership information, please
