The 2012 Queen City Colloquium, the University of Cincinnati’s annual regional History Graduate Student conference, invites paper submissions from graduate students in any field of history. The papers should be based on graduate-level, original research. The goal of this conference is to provide anopportunity for M.A. and Ph.D. students to gain experience presenting original research and receiving feedback in a conference setting.
In addition to graduate research, the QCC also invites a prominent historian each year to deliver the conference keynote address. Past speakers have included Daniel Smail of Harvard University, Nicoletta Gullace from the University of New Hampshire and John Mack Farager from Yale. Thomas Robisheaux from Duke University will be our keynote speaker this year. He writes about early modern Germany and witchcraft.
Proposals should include: submitter’s name, contact information (including email), institutional affiliation, a 250-word abstract of the paper (with title), and a brief biographical statement including your academic status.
Deadline for submission is *Monday, January 23. 2012. If accepted, final papers will be due on *Thursday, April 26, 2012. E-mail proposals as anattachment to the 2012 Queen City Colloquium Committee at: cincyqcc@gmail.com.
