On December 5 from 9:00 am, the Litchfield Historical Society will present this symposium on creating a Civil War exhibition or character for first person intepretation using the letters of a local soldier, Alva A. Stone, as a starting point for stimulating discussion on Civil War medicine, textiles, and the variety of techniques one can employ to make Connecticut history accessible to a wide audience.
This symposium is especially suitable for graduate and undergraduate students of American and public history, local historians, those who work at historical museums, first person interpreters, and those about to embark on creating a Civil War exhibition.
For more information on each of the sessions, please see the Litchfield Historical Society's website.
