BLACK DOCTORATES CONFERENCE IN MIAMI, FLORIDA
THEME: Black Doctorates - Building our Future/What's Next?

Conferees should bring a resume and an 8 x 10 photo of themselves.
REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
Presenters to submit a one page abstract proposal with a problem/concern and results with techniques on one of the
following:
- How to identify and monitor potential doctoral
students starting from the high school level to Master's
Degree
- Support Services (for individuals, community-based
programs)to assist doctoral students
- Endeavors that doctorates can explore after earning their
degrees and during their retirement
- Poster contest for doctoral candidates depicting the
conference theme. Conferees will judge first, second and
third place winners at the conference. After the
conference, winning posters will be on display at the
magazine's website.
The deadline for abstracts and posters is December 15, 2011.

June 29, 2012: Lapel Pin Ceremony - Ph.D. & Ed.D. Pins
Doctorates will select a sponsor (e.g. friend or relative) to pin him/her.
Females will wear white. Males will wear a black suit.
All doctorates will wear doctoral regalia.
Emerging young Doctorates (ages 27 - 37) of distinction will be recognized.
