Twenty years after Pierre Bourdieu’s La Noblesse d’Etat, what are the main features of the French system of elite education today? What are its specificities compared with the American system? Social reproduction and elitism are still prevalent, but new debates, new stakes, and new realities have emerged that are changing the shape of elite education in France.
