The Annals of the Ovidius University of Constanta – the History Series (Analele Universitatii Ovidius Constanta Seria Istorie - A.U.O.C.S.I.) – Call for Papers
The Annals of the Ovidius University of Constanta – the History Series Volume 8 / 2011 invites professors, researchers and graduate students to submit their research articles and reviews for publication by 30 November 2011.
Our journal is indexed in the Scipio, Index Copernicus and CEEOL databases.
We publish in English, Russian, Spanish, German and French.
Received articles or reviews will be subject to a double-blind peer review process which lasts a maximum of 4 weeks.
We accept papers in all the periods of history and its related fields: archaeology, cultural studies, international relations, political science, European studies, security studies etc.
Articles need to have at least 5,000 words (footnotes included). Reviews can range from 500 words to 2,000 and need to deal with volumes published either in 2010 or 2011. If the submitted article has been published before, this needs to be clearly mentioned in the first footnote.
Only on-line submissions are accepted to facilitate rapid publication. Please submit your articles and reviews to auocsi@yahoo.ro by 30 November 2011.
Initially we will publish an on-line issue of the A.U.O.C.S.I. which will be shortly followed by a publication in paperback.
These are our author’s guidelines:
-Font: Times New Roman, size 12, spacing 1.5 lines
-Notes: according to the Romanian Academy’s system
-Author’s name, book’s title (italic), place of publication, Publishing House, year of publication, page (p.)
-Author’s name, article’s title (italic), „Magazine’s title (between quotation marks)”, year, vol, number, p.
-For contribution in collective volume: Author’s name, article’s title (italic), „Volume’s title (between quotation marks)”, place of publication, Publishing House, year of publication, page (p.)
-For a paper previously cited: Author’s name, op. cit. ; or art. cit. (if it is an article)
-Citations for the previously cited source: Ibidem
-Citations for the previously cited author, with a different paper: Idem (Eadem for women), title, etc.
-The authors need to clearly mention their institutional affiliation, e-mail address and land address.
