Nominations Now Accepted for 2012 Primary Source Awards Program
The Center for Research Libraries is now accepting nominations for the 2012 Primary Source Awards from the entire CRL academic community. Please help spread the word by nominating a deserving colleague (you can also self-nominate) and by posting and distributing the flyer available as a pdf at www.crl.edu/primary-source-awards.
The awards recognize the contributions of research and teaching faculty, librarians and library staff, students, and other users within the CRL community for their innovative use of primary source materials in three arenas:
> Access – For library-based projects
> Research – For research projects and methodologies
> Teaching – For classroom applications and course content
Awardees and their projects will be recognized at CRL’s Council of Voting Members Annual Meeting on April 20, 2012 and other appropriate events and publicized through CRL media. Awardees also will receive a gift certificate for Powell’s Books.
Nominators of the eventual awardees will receive an iPad. Online nominations can be submitted by research and teaching faculty, librarians and library staff, students, and other researchers and administrators within the CRL community.
The online nomination form, eligibility requirements, deadlines, and complete awards program guidelines are available at www.crl.edu/primary-source-awards. For a look at winners from previous years, visit our FOCUS archive at www.crl.edu/focus/spring-2011. Nominations must be submitted by January 31, 2012. Self- nominations are welcome.
