NCHE's South Carolina and the Civil Rights Struggle Conference

To mark the 50th anniversary of the “Friendship Nine’s” courageous stand against bigotry and intolerance, the National Council of History Education plans to hold a conference featuring the Friendship Nine as well as United States Congressman James Clyburn and other Civil Right leaders. The conference will be held on February 23 and 24th at the campus of South Carolina State University in Orangeburg, South Carolina.
