A retired US army officer,Major Merrit P Drucker will present an apology to a retired German officer Lt Col Max Klaar (Bundeswehr), head of the Verband deutscher Soldaten (German Veterans' Association)for the mistreatment of German prisoners after World War II and a new edition of Other Losses by James Bacque about those prisoners will be launched at a public meeting on October 31,2011 at 2:00pm in the Congressional and Monument Rooms of the Courtyard Capitol Marriott Hotel,1325 2nd St NE, Washington DC 202 898 4000.
