Pierre Bayard is a French author, professor of literature at the University of Paris VIII and psychoanalyst. He is the author of How to Talk About Books You Haven’t Read (Comment parler des livres que l'on n'a pas lus? 2007), which was a bestseller in France, and of other works of criticism including Sherlock Holmes was Wrong: Re-opening the Case of the Hound of the Baskervilles and Who Killed Roger Ackroyd?
