The HudsonCounty Genealogical and Historical Society will hold it's October 8th, 2011 meeting at the former St. Michael's Monastery in Union City at 11:00 AM. After our Meting we will have several speakers.
Rev. Sam Sung of the Hudson Korean Presbyterian Church will present A History of St. Michael's Monastery. Fr. Rob Carbonneau will focus his 30 minute talk around the subject of the Genealogy of West Hobocon and Union City and how it relates to the Passionist Archives.
Louise Meière Dunn will speak about her Mother, Hildreth Meière (1892-1961) an artist who forged a successful career in architectural art at a time dominated by men. She painted the murals at St. Michaels Monastery.
