The Association for the Scientific Study of Religion: Southwest (ASSR:SW) will hold its annual meeting in Irving, TX on March 9-11, 2012. The ASSR:SW is a constituent organization of the Southwest Commission on Religious Studies(SWCRS) - see www.swcrs-online.org for more information. The ASSR:SW invites paper proposals on any topic concerning the scientific study of religion, particularly those dealing with the sociological, philosophical, economic, historical, psychological, or political aspects of religion in society. The ASSR:SW also welcomes papers from other affiliates of the SWCRS. Papers proposals by undergrads, grad students, & independent scholars are also welcome. The deadline for submitting paper proposals (title & abstract) is October 10, 2011. Selected papers submitted to the ASSR:SW are published in the 2012 Proceedings of the Association for the Scientific Study of Religion: Southwest. Examples of earlier Proceedings publications are archived at envirecon.com/assrarchives.htm. The deadline for submitting completed papers for publication in the Annual Proceedings of ASSR:SW is February 9, 2012.
