Seeking a panelist and moderator to complete a panel for the Society for Military History Conference. The conference will take place May 10-13, 2012, and the theme for the event is “The Politics of War.”
Our panel title is “The Aftermath of War: Dislocation and Dispossession.” The two papers are, “Territorial Effects of WW I on Indigenous Populations” and “Property Confiscation
and Exile of Loyalists Populations After the American Revolution.” We are seeking any additions that focus on the subjects of empire; specifically addressing what happens after war in an empire where people lose their property or
are forced into exile because of the outcome. Any time periods, geographic locations, and empires will be considered.
Please submit proposals to Jamie Mize at firstname.lastname@example.org
Panel submissions are due to the conference November 1st.
