Established by the Southeast Chinese Language Association (SECLA) in 2011, the journal of Southeast Chinese Language Review (online and in print) is a peer-reviewed semi-annual publication. The journal aims to promote research and teaching of Chinese language and to provide a scholarly platform that connects the communities of Confucius Institutes, Confucius Classrooms, and Chinese educators.
Paper Topics
The inaugural issue of the Journal consists of two content areas:
Confucius Institute management and Chinese language pedagogy. Topics relevant (but not limited) to the above themes are welcome.
Confucius Institute Management

Community outreach
Financial management
Leadership models
Chinese Language Pedagogy
Technology, multimedia, and Chinese language instruction
Developing K-12 curriculum and teaching resources
Designing curriculum for Chinese majors in four-year universities and colleges

Integrating the teaching of Chinese language and culture
Assessment tools and methods
Paper Submission Guidelines

Full paper written in English
