U.S. Studies Online, the postgraduate journal for the British Association for American Studies (BAAS), has extended the deadline for submissions to its Autumn/Winter 2011 issue to October 5th.
Now in its 10th year of publication, U.S. Studies Online has an established reputation as the postgraduate journal for the British Association for American Studies (BAAS). This peer-reviewed online journal enables postgraduate students at British and international universities to have their work published in a high-quality refereed environment at a time when the opportunity for postgraduates to publish in American Studies paper journals is becoming increasingly limited.
Articles submitted to U.S. Studies Online are considered to be eligible if they were written at the time the author was registered for a postgraduate degree (PhD, MPhil, MA) at an institution of higher education.
Each issue tries to cover a broad range of topics, drawing upon the multi-disciplinarity of American Studies to incorporate history, literature, politics, cultural studies, film, art history, gender studies and interdisciplinary methods.
Articles submitted in any of these fields should be 5000-6000 words long (excluding notes) and must be submitted electronically.
For any questions or to submit an article, please email the editor at Carina.Spaulding@baas.ac.uk. For more information on our submission guidelines or to see previous issues, please visit our website at http://tinyurl.com/6dhysz8.
