William B. Rogers, Associate Dean, Caspersen School of Graduate Studies, Drew University, continues this series at Scotch Plains Public Library on Monday, Jan. 9, 7:00 pm, with “Leaders of the Civil War”
In this session we will explore some of the best known leaders of the war; Lincoln, Grant, Lee, Jackson, Sherman—and as many others as time allows. What are the “stories” we all know about these men, and where are the exaggerations, spin, and outright lies contained in those stories? What would they think about how the war is portrayed today, and the current shape of American society? . Free of charge and open to all interested members of the public.
