Call for Papers for Kalamazoo 2012: Travel and Travel Narratives in the Fourteenth Century
The Fourteenth Century Society invites submissions of proposals for its session “Travel and Travel Narratives in the Fourteenth Century” at the 47th International Congress on Medieval Studies at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan from May 10-13, 2012. We seek abstracts of 300-500 words with a title and institutional affiliation by September 10, 2011. Please submit abstracts to James Byrne at firstname.lastname@example.org. Participants will be contacted regardless of whether or not their proposal has been accepted. All proposals submitted but not accepted will be sent on to the general committee for consideration in one of the general sessions at Kalamazoo.
Proposals on all aspects of travel and travel narratives in the fourteenth century are welcome. We are particularly interested in proposals on travel to or within non-European areas.
