I am seeking co-panelists for the 2012 meeting of the Society for Civil War Historians. The panel will cover topics related to the broad theme of Confederate identity and nationalism. My own paper analyzes native northerners in the Confederate army and how they identified as Confederates despite not having native ties to the South. Anyone who is working on projects related to this theme, including the strength or weakness of Confederate nationalism, the meaning of Confederate identity, morale among Confederates, etc., are welcome to join the panel.
