We are currently seeking proposals for book reviews from doctoral, postdoctoral and early career researchers for Issue 2 of Alphaville: Journal of Film and Screen Media (Winter 2011). The theme of this forthcoming special issue is Space and Time in Cinema. Reviews can reflect the issue’s theme or be on an unrelated topic.
The Books for Review section at www.alphavillejournal.com has a list of titles available for review. Alternatively, prospective reviewers can contact the Books Reviews Editor to suggest titles that are not on this list and that have been published during 2010 – 2011. Reviews should be 1,500 – 2,500 words in length and should be original, unpublished, in print or electronically, and not under consideration elsewhere. We also welcome the submission of conference and festival reports for consideration on an ongoing basis.
Expressions of interest should be submitted by September 2, 2011 to the Book Reviews Editor at alphavillejournal@gmail.com. The deadline for submission of completed reviews will be October 7, 2011. Reviews or reports received after that date may be considered for Issue 3 of Alphaville, which will be a special issue on Sound, Voice, Music, or for subsequent issues.
