Please join us August 15, 6-8 p.m. to hear one of oral history’s great leaders, Doug Boyd, speak about his oral history project, “Combat to Kentucky” at the University of Kentucky. Award-winning playwright Herman Daniel Farrell III has worked with Boyd and the Veteran Center at UK to transform the students’ stories into a play, “Bringing it Home: Voices of Student Veterans,” which will premiere at the 15th New York International Fringe Festival (FringeNYC) August 12-28, 2011. If possible join us on Sunday, August 14th at 7:30 p.m. at the Bleecker Street Theater (see details below) and for a discussion of the performance on Monday evening, August 15th from 6-8 p.m. at 523 Butler Library, Columbia University.

PLAY: The Bleecker Street Theater, 45 Bleecker Street (at Lafayette Street), one block North of Houston Street and on block East of Broadway.
