We have the honour of inviting you to the 1st Interdisciplinary Science Conference in the Taboo - Trend - Transgression cycle. The subject of this year's edition is: SCANDAL IN CULTURE.
We would like to make a scandal the subject of constructive discussions on our Conference, so that we can deliberate the essence of that phenomenon, its sources, functions, types, its influence on broadly defined cultural life (presented in the historical and contemporary perspective), its language, and also its reflection in literature, film, art, press, conventional wisdom etc. We offer interdisciplinary discussion which would allow us to apply new research perspectives, so we invite the representatives of various humanistic disciplines: literary theorists, media experts, sociologists, anthropologists, historians, cultural theorists and many other, as well people, who are attentive observers of controversial events. We are looking for scandalizing subjects in order to analyze, interpret and re-interpret them.
