Energy & Infrastructure Management: Opportunities, Challenges and Strategies for Sustainable Growth
Energy & Infrastructure (E&I) sector are always considered as the sector with maximum linkage effects on the economy. From the period of Great Depression of 1920s to Global Financial Crisis of 2008, it has been felt that energy sector as well as infrastructure sector are responsible for the up-liftment of the economy across the globe. This is also true for the war ravaged economy of Middle East, the countries with domestic conflict in Africa, and nevertheless for the developing countries of Latin America and Asia. Therefore, one of the key determinants of economic, social, and developmental sustainability is the evolution of the energy sector and specifically energy related infrastructure sector (both physical and social infrastructure). At the same time these sectors are also severely affected during boom-bust period of an economy both nationally and internationally and thereby making these sectors highly susceptible to the domestic and global business environment.
