On August 7 from 1 pm to 4 pm as we celebrate over 200 years of history at the Frying Pan Spring Meeting House.
Activities will include:
-The Victorian Society will be depicting families from the
1890s era visiting departed loved-ones at the cemetery
and picnicking (as was the custom of the time).
-Local historians will tell the stories of the people that
worshipped and are buried there.
-Learn about the Civil War encampments.
-Listen to primitive Baptist hymns.
-Take a peek inside the historic structure and tour the
outside grounds.
-Archeologists will share discoveries about the
fascinating past of this Meeting House.
Taking place during the 63rd annual 4-H Fair. No admission fee to Fair or open house. $5 Parking Fee.
Conveniently located near the Dulles Toll Road, Fairfax County Parkway, Route 50 and Route 66. Parking for this event in the main lot. Please follow signs to the Meeting House.
