We already have few hosts and guests. We are still looking for experts, students, curators, art historians, artists, and scholars with experience in any of the following areas of humanities.
This project is a new innovative multi-media and multi-disciplinary presenting project with the goal to create a new digital central resource and educational materials for people with interest on African American history/art, African art in Diaspora as well as African art subjects. The humanities in focus on this project are multifaceted in nature: multi-cultural, cross-cultures and transculturation of Africa and America. Internet radio will form a very important platform of presenting this project of discussion and distribution. Some of the topics of discussion on this project will be African emerging talents and artists in USA, African and African contemporary art, African American art & history, discourse on Fela and Afro Music as an inspiration for development of West African international music stage and association of his music to the Yoruba religions, Africa in Diaspora, African music, African American /African Diaspora oral history. Some of on the side topics of this project will include the African traditional talking drums, Yoruba art, African American art and black art, African dance and African traditions.
This project will provide opportunity to discuss humanities of this project nationally, internationally and exchange ideas based on research work and experience of the hosts and guests to this internet radio programming. It will encourage learning opportunity through the use of new media and especially website and internet Radio as a tool to reach both the participating scholars and the audience. It is also in the plan to partner and collaborate with schools programs, community media companies and centers, artists, schools, academia, talents, non-profit organizations, art consultants and community based organizations.
