The University of Iowa Press is seeking proposals for books on food production and distribution and the social relationships that support or transform these systems. The effects of expanding global trade networks, climate change, and human population growth converge in the question of food production and distribution. The health of individuals, societies, and the global ecosystem depend to a considerable degree on how we answer that question. Projects that explain the implications of scientific and social scientific research for a broad readership are especially welcome.
