We are seeking an author for the textbook entitled "A Better Understanding of US Social Problems". It is a textbook for college students in Japan with an intermedite English level. The book consists of 15 chapters, including topics such as the healthcare reform, an economy in crisis, enviromental concerns, ethnic prejudice and so on. The text for each chapter contains 800-1000 words. The author is supposed to work on those texts and we will add excercises to each text. We can discuss what should be included in the bookd as typical social issues in the US society at the current stage. The aim of the textbook is to give a general introduction about the topic to Japanese college students besides English learning. Therefore, the newest information is expected to be included in the book. The publication date is scheduled as Sept. 2012. Authors will be paid for the royalty.
