Call for Papers: Terrorism – The European Legacy, a multidisciplinary journal devoted to the study of European intellectual and cultural history, is seeking submissions for a special issue on the development of terrorism from the 19th to the 21st century, considering the changing dimensions of the idea of terror in its European contexts, the influence of European ideas of terror across the globe, and conflicting interpretations of terrorism. Authors are invited to submit a title and a 150 word abstract, including a preliminary bibliography of 8-10 sources, by September 30, 2011. Proposals with an inter- or transdisciplinary approach are preferred, but those from a single disciplinary focus will be considered. From these submissions, invitations to write a complete article will be made. The special issue will include 5-6 articles that are to be 6,000 words each, including endnotes. Articles will be due by April 30, 2012. Abstracts and inquiries should be addressed to him at: douglas.cremer@woodbury.edu.
