The Faculty of Educatione and Dismot Department, at University of Palermo (Italy), are pleased to host the International Summer School "Migrants, Human Rights and Democracy", that will be held in September, 12-16, 2011 at Marettimo Island (Sicily). The 5th Edition of the Summer School aims to debate on migrants’ representation on media, offering some specific workshops and roundtables concerning:
• Migrants stereotype on media
• Depiction of Cultural Differences
• Race and Migration in the Community Media
• Media, Migration and Religion
• Refugees-Migrants’ Religion in the Digital Age
The fee of participation is 100 euros (including courses materials and lunches).
The deadline for application is August 2, 2011.
