The Western Social Science Association invites papers and panels on American Studies topics for its 54th annual conference, April 11-14, 2012, at the Hyatt Regency, Houston, Texas.
We ask for individual paper -- or panel -- proposals on American Studies topics. The subjects may range very broadly across the arts, humanities, and social sciences -- in history, literary studies, political science, art, education, sociology, and other areas of research.

Scholars willing to serve as moderators/discussants should indicate their research specialties.
