Life After Death...AMONG THE YORUBA is a one hour documentary film that records the remaining and fast disappearing of the ancient traditions of Yoruba people of West Africa in Nigeria. The film brings all the elements of Yoruba traditions together as they are related to the universal concept of life after death, the culture that is not only in Nigeria, but also being practiced in other continents and countries of the world such as USA, Cuba, Benin Republic, Brazil, Haiti etc. In this film, scholars from a wide range of background examined the past, present and future of the Yoruba Culture and traditions. Among the principal subjects in this film are Osun, Ogun, Egungun, Kabiesi, Oba, Yoruba traditional Kings and the chiefs -Iwefa, Ijoye, Abiku, Sango, Eyo, Osanyin, Orunmila, Obatala, Meboyi, Eyo etc.
We are presently looking for scholastic individuals around the world in the area of cross cultural international collaboration on Yoruba culture in motherland and in the Diaspora with the focus on life after death. The selected scholars will participate in a documentary to be titled life after death among the Yoruba traditions.
