We are seeking a fourth paper for a panel being proposed for the March 2012 Association for Asian Studies Annual Meeting, to be held in Toronto, Canada. If accepted, this panel will focus on the ways in which the Pacific theater of WWII is remembered in the United States and Japan. The three other papers will address patriotism and identity forged during the war years, wartime experience and memory as represented in state-sanctioned memorials and museums, and post-war understandings of war from a transnational perspective.
If interested in being a part of this panel, please send an abstract to firstname.lastname@example.org.
