This Conference sets out to achieve three broad objectives, namely:

1. to historicize the challenges of infrastructure development in Nigeria;
2. to bring together researchers, both from the academic world and policy-oriented backgrounds, to exchange ideas on Nigerian infrastructure development;
3. to identify the major challenges to infrastructure development in Nigeria

In response to these challenges, the Historical Society of Nigeria (HSN) in conjunction with the Department of History and International Studies, Osun State University (UNIOSUN), and the Centre for Black and African Arts and Civilization (CBAAC) announce an international conference to be hosted by Osun State University.

Travel Fellowships will be available for a limited number of participants whose abstracts are accepted.

Please send an abstract of about 200 words including your full contact details to uniosunhistory@gmail.com on or before 15 July 2011.

Notification of acceptance / rejection: 31st July 2011. Submission of full papers:

20th September 2011.
