Introduction and objectives:
The seventh Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) is to ensure sustainability in terms of the environment, it also aims to integrate the principles of sustainable development into country policies and programs to prevent loss of natural resources. Thus, on water resources, the World Summit for Sustainable Development (Johannesburg, 2002) decided to include the formulation of national plans for integrated management of water resources and rationalization of water use.
Moreover, faced with the growing water shortage, exacerbated by rapid population growth, urbanization, poor allocation and management of water resources, environmental degradation, prolonged droughts, the world faces new challenges that require a new approach to managing these resources.
Water has, therefore, dimensions as well social, economic and environmental which are both interdependent and complementary.
