Join Historic Southern Indiana for the second annual educational symposia dealing with the War of 1812 and the impact on the Indiana Territory, the Midwest, and the nation. The symposium will take place on June 25th at Vincennes University in Vincennes, Indiana.
Our first symposium, “The Gathering Storm: The Rise of Tecumseh,” addressed events prior to and during 1810 that led up to the conflict. This year’s program will deal with the events of 1811 that led up to the War of 1812, most notably the
Battle of Tippecanoe.
