This roundtable session will address approaches to teaching the Underground Railroad. Possible paper topics may include, but are not limited to, teaching specific literary texts, historical figures such as Harriet Tubman, incorporating historical sites into the syllabus, and Canadian contributions to the Underground Railroad. Interdisciplinary and team-teaching methods of instruction are especially encouraged.
