The Northeast Popular/American Culture Association (NEPCA) is seeking paper proposals for its fall conference to be held at the campus of Western Connecticut State University in Danbury, CT on the weekend of November 11-12, 2011. For more information regarding the many different subject areas covered at the conference, please see the following list of Area Chairs: http://users.wpi.edu/~jphanlan/NEPCA_AREA_CHAIRS_2009%5B1%5D.htm
Those interested in submitting a proposal related to the subject of MUSIC & CULTURE should email a copy (maximum 250 words) along with a one-page vita to both the Program Chair, Don Gagnon, at gagnond@wcsu.edu and the Area Chair for Music & Culture, Christopher Gleason, at gleasonc@wit.edu. The deadline for proposals is June 15.
Since 1974 NEPCA has invited scholars from New England and New York to be part of an expanding intellectual community. Our annual conferences strive to obtain a balance of graduate students, independent scholars, and full-time faculty members. They are designed to be nurturing conferences where works in progress share intellectual space with established scholarship. NEPCA conferences are also affordable for all.
