The Konstantinos Karamanlis Institute for Democracy and the LSE IDEAS Balkan International Affairs Programme cordially invite you to an international conference on “The Balkans in the Cold War” in Athens on 27, 28 and 29 May 2011 (Metropolitan Hotel, 385 Syngrou Ave.).
Over three days, through discussions and presentations by prominent as well as young scholars and academics from many countries, the conference will address a number of themes relevant to the region and the Cold War, such as security, ideology, regional and bilateral relations, Superpower policies in the Balkans, culture-identities.
