The Music Conservatory "G. Nicolini" in Piacenza in March 2012 will organize a Conference dedicated to the musician Giuseppe Nicolini(1762-1842)for two hundred and fifty years after the birth.We invite to submit proposals for papers that may relate to Nicolini, his musical training and his works, the environment and the institutions in which he worked, the composers, performers, writers who were his contemporaries, connected to activities of the musician.
To participate you can send an abstract with the title of the report and a text of about 30 lines, indicating the topic of research undertaken and the main contents of the communication.
You are also required to attach a brief curriculum vitae
The report should have a maximum duration of about 20-25 minutes (corresponding to a text of 8 pages for a total of 16,000 characters).
The abstract together with your name, address and telephone number must be sent by email to biblioteca@conservatorio.piacenza.it or postal mail at the Conservatorio "G. Nicolini, Library, Via Santa Franca, 35, 29100 Piacenza.
Abstracts must be received by June 15, 2011.
At the Conference will follow the publication of the proceedings.
