The editors of a volume of collected essays that address new trends in early North American frontier/borderland studies are seeking contributors. The project, which seeks to include a wide range of topics related to the history of Pennsylvania’s borderlands (broadly defined) from the colonial period through the early 19th Century, is already underway. The editors would like to expand the volume, and as a result, are seeking essay submissions that address, but may not be limited to, the following areas/themes:
• Geopolitics
• Gender relations
• Race
• Violence
• Economic history
• Religion
• Sexuality
• Art
• Warfare
Please send a 300-500 word abstract and a CV including contact information by May 31, 2011 to:
PABorderlands@gmail.com
If accepted, the final essay will be due by November 1, 2011.
