Civil War Events in Arkansas: Call for Encyclopedia Entry Submissions

The online Encyclopedia of Arkansas History & Culture recently received a grant from the Arkansas Civil War Sesquicentennial Commission to develop entries on the many smaller military events (skirmishes, actions, expeditions) that occurred across Arkansas in 1861-1865. We have chosen events for which there exists at least one report in the Official Records. Go to our "Entries Needing Authors" page at the URL listed and click on "Military Science" to see the list of related entries for which we are seeking authors. Most entries are assigned at 500 words, though some are given 1,000. E-mail editor Guy Lancaster if you are interested in writing any of these entries.
