In conjunction with the current exhibition Joan Miró: The Ladder of Escape, this one-day PhD student symposium, hosted by the AHRC Centre for the Study of Surrealism and its Legacies, aims to showcase fresh interpretations of surrealist thought and practice from across a diverse range of academic disciplines.
The event will be held at Tate Modern (East Room) on Friday 13th May from 10 am to 5.30 pm. It will include a roundtable discussion with Marko Daniel and Matthew Gale, curators of the Miró exhibition, who will be joined by Professor Dawn Ades and Professor David Lomas, directors of the Surrealism Centre.
