John Fogerty / Creedence Clearwater Revival
An Interdisciplinary Essay Collection
I invite all those interested to submit article proposals for a collection of essays on any aspect of the work of John Fogerty with or apart from Creedence Clearwater Revival.
This collection, with a tentative publishing date of 2013, will take an interdisciplinary approach to the work of Fogerty. Essays may concern a variety of topics, including, particular time period(s), themes, an album or series of albums, cultural/ religious/ global contexts, influences on or of JF, legal conflicts, turning points, JF and San Francisco/ the South, the impact of personality or personal relationships on music, fandom, the intersection of specific musical genres, JF’s politics, JF and country/ blues/ funk/ etc., JF as live performer, comparisons to other groups/ songwriters/ artists/ literary and or artistic works, JF’s music in film/ commercials/ TV, JF in the digital age, JF as guitarist, JF’s innovations, CC Revival vs CC Revisited, and more.
