CREARE foundation organizes the third edition of the Summer International Programs in cultural economics led by Prof. Arjo Klamer that will take place at Amsterdam University College:
• Value of Culture: On the relationship between Economics, Culture and the Art - August 17 to 24, 2011.
• The economics of museums and cultural heritage - June 30 to July 3, 2011.
The courses explore the tension between the world of economics and the world of the arts. The first one provides a wider perspective, whereas the second specializes on museums and cultural heritage.
They are open to students, city planners, politicians, teachers, business leaders, cultural managers and other workers in the cultural field.
Participants will take part in debates on recent insights on the topics and learn from actual cases. They will engage with prominent cultural and business entrepreneurs and well-known academics.
