Dear colleagues/friends
We would like to draw your attention to a new book series on 'Islam and Nationalism' that we are editing for Palgrave Macmillan, with the support of The Center for Middle Eastern Studies at Lund University.
We are convinced that as research on Islam as a form of identity is rapidly expanding and as interest both within the academia and the policy community is intensifying, there is an urgent need for coherent and innovative interventions identifying the questions that will shape ongoing and future research and policy, and formulating conceptual and methodological responses to current challenges (contact the series editors for further information).
CALL FOR PROPOSALS
We welcome book proposals addressing the key questions the series seeks to explore and advancing inter- and trans-disciplinarity and comparative research.
We would like to know as much about your proposed book as possible, so please use the Palgrave Macmillan Publishing Proposal Form. (http://www.palgrave.com/authors/publishing.asp)
To help us make a quick and authoritative decision, include as much information as possible on the form, including details about the content, a chapter plan, aims and objectives, the intended market and the competition. We will also be happy to receive your CV (and that of any co-authors/editors) and any sample material, if available. Once complete, please email your proposal and any additional information to the series editors:
Umut Özkırımlı, Professor, Department of International Relations, Istanbul Bilgi University; Fernand Braudel Fellow, Department of Social and Political Sciences, European University Institute; Senior Visiting Fellow, LSEE, London School of Economics.
