AAI 4: The 4th Asian Australian Studies Research Network Conference

The conference committee is now inviting submissions for individual papers focusing on topics relating to the event themes and Asian Australian identities. Suggested topics include:
* Emerging communities – issues and engagement
* Political activism, community representation
* Social media and Web 2.0
* New queer politics
* Asian Australian Studies internationally
The committee is also happy to consider papers that address other Asian Australian issues and topics.

The Asian Australian Studies Research Network (AASRN) is a formal network for academic, community and other institutional groups who research in the area of Asian Australian Studies. This growing area investigates the diasporic cultures, politics and histories of those of Asian descent in Australia. The AAI conferences are a major component of the activities initiated by the AASRN, and are peak events in Asian Australian Studies.
