The Critical Languages Institute (CLI) at Arizona State University is one of the leading intensive summer programs specializing in East European, Caucasian and Central Asian languages. CLI offers an 8-week program on the ASU Main Campus with an optional 3-week overseas continuation course (May 31-July 23 at ASU, July 25 – August 12 overseas).
All CLI courses are tuition-free.
Spaces are still available for the following languages (Study abroad in parentheses):
- Albanian (Tirana)
- Armenian (Yerevan)
- Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian (Sarajevo)
- Hebrew
- Macedonian (Ohrid)
- Polish (Poznan)
- Tajik (Dushanbe)
- Tatar (Kazan)*
- Uzbek (Tashkent)
- Yiddish
* - Tatar is offered as an 8-week course entirely in Kazan, Russia.
